What we see — and fix — most
Control-arm bushings and ball joints on the front end are the usual source of clunks over bumps and a vague feel on turn-in. We find the worn part on the lift rather than replacing the whole corner.
Rotors and pads to specification, with the rotors measured rather than guessed at. Brake fluid is checked too — it absorbs moisture over time and needs changing on a schedule, not only when the pedal feels soft.
On cars fitted with Skyhook, a leaking damper or a fault in its wiring brings up a suspension warning. We identify which corner is at fault before quoting a part.
The V6 shares the Levante’s habits: thermostat housings, oil cooler seals and cooler lines weep with age. Cleaned down and traced properly, not topped up and sent away.
A weak 12-volt battery produces a scatter of unrelated warnings. We test the battery and charging first, then scan every module and explain what is actually stored.

Ghibli owners often ask
What causes a clunk from the front of a Maserati Ghibli?
Most often a worn front control-arm bushing or ball joint, sometimes a tie rod end or a damper mount. The clunk tends to show over bumps and at low speed. It is found by inspecting the front end on a lift with the load taken off the suspension — not by replacing parts until it goes away.
Is the Ghibli expensive to maintain?
Routine maintenance on a Ghibli is not dramatically different from other European performance sedans when it is done at independent rates rather than dealer rates, and when small issues — a weep, a worn bushing — are dealt with before they become large ones. Does the Ghibli transmission need servicing?
Yes. The ZF 8-speed in the Ghibli needs a fluid and filter service; it is not sealed for life, whatever the marketing said. It is the single most useful thing you can do for the gearbox.
Do you work on rear-wheel-drive and Q4 Ghiblis?
Both. The Q4 adds a transfer case and front driveshafts to inspect, but maintenance, brakes, suspension and diagnostics are the same work we do on either version.
