Tesla Model Y Repair & Service in Worcester, MA
Model Y brakes, suspension, tires, wheels and diagnostics — in Worcester.
The Model Y shares much of its engineering with the Model 3, but it is taller and heavier, and that changes what wears. Tires, front suspension and big wheels take more punishment, and the brake calipers seize in Massachusetts salt just as they do on the sedan. Iron Wolf Motors services the Model Y in Worcester with Tesla Toolbox 3 — brakes, suspension, alignment, low-voltage battery and coolant — and repairs the curb-rashed and bent wheels that a Model Y on 20- and 21-inch rims collects, in-house at published prices.
Backed by our 12-month / 12,000-mile warranty on new parts.

What’s in a Model Y, and why it matters for service
Single-motor rear-wheel drive, or Dual Motor all-wheel drive (Long Range, Performance)
Double-wishbone front, multi-link rear, coil springs
19-, 20- and 21-inch, depending on version
Heat pump, standard from launch
What we see — and fix — most
A heavy SUV with instant torque goes through tires faster than a Model 3, and an alignment that is slightly off wears the inside shoulders long before you notice. We rotate, balance and align to Tesla specification, and read the tread for problems before they cost a set of tires.
Low-profile tires on 20- and 21-inch wheels give very little protection from potholes and curbs. Bent rims show up as a vibration at highway speed or a tire that slowly loses air. Bent rim repair is $119.89, curb rash refinishing from $189.89, cracked rim welding $159.89.
Creaks and clunks from the front upper control arms and links, as on the Model 3, are among the most common Model Y complaints. We find the worn joint on the lift and replace the part at fault, then align the car on the new parts.
Regenerative braking leaves the friction brakes nearly unused, and salt seizes the slide pins. Tesla calls for the calipers to be cleaned and lubricated every year in salt-belt states — the cheap job that prevents grinding, uneven pad wear and replaced calipers.
A weak low-voltage battery can stop a Model Y waking up or opening, even with a full high-voltage pack. We test it under load before anything else is replaced.
The Model Y has used a heat pump since launch, and climate or heating alerts in winter need proper diagnosis with Toolbox 3 rather than parts swapped on a guess.

After a pothole hit, a new set of tires, or any suspension work.
Rims checked for bends and cracks while the wheels are off for rotation.

Model Y owners often ask
Why does my Model Y go through tires so fast?
Weight, instant torque and large wheels with low-profile tires. Alignment matters a lot: a Model Y that is slightly out wears the inner shoulders quickly and quietly. Regular rotation, about every 6,250 miles, and an alignment check after any hard pothole hit make a set last noticeably longer.
Can you fix a bent Model Y wheel?
Usually, yes. Bent rim repair is $119.89, cracked rim welding $159.89 where the crack can be repaired safely, and curb rash refinishing starts at $189.89. We repair rims only and do not sell tires; mount and balance on your own tires is $19.89.
Is the Model Y the same as the Model 3 to service?
Much of the hardware is shared, so brake, suspension and low-voltage battery work is similar. The Model Y is heavier and taller, so tires, alignment, front suspension and wheels wear faster, and it has used a heat pump since launch. We service both.
Will servicing my Model Y at an independent shop affect the warranty?
Maintenance and wear repairs by an independent shop do not void the warranty, and we document the work. Warranty repairs and recalls themselves still go to Tesla.
